Manager, Talent ID and Development

USTA Player Development Incorporated

Purpose Of Position: To assist Senior Director of Talent ID & Development in executing strategic objectives, especially with execution of USTA Certified Regional Training Center (RTC)-related programming and nationwide coach communication.

Major Duties:

Managing systems for RTC�s (related to the deal points outlined in the agreements between the USTA and RTC�s) � QuickStart Tennis, in-house high performance program, camps, complimentary coaching, coaching education and coach follow-up process after camps.

Provide oversight and assistance with major activities and events associated with the Sectional Coaches Commission Program.

Liaise with Section Player Development Staff, their respective Coaches Commissions and RTC personnel.

Serve as the primary liaison between the Coaches Commissions and the Talent ID and Development efforts at the Regional and National Training Centers.

Assist in providing QuickStart Tennis direction to the Coaches Commissions, RTC�s and Early Development Centers.

Assist in the development, writing and implementation of curriculum and materials for coaching commission, RTC and Early Development Center efforts.

As necessary, conduct coaching education presentations and programs at commission events, conferences, camps and other industry partner related conventions and workshops.

Provide administrative support and direction for the RTC and Early Development Center programs.

Provide support at USTA-hosted junior and collegiate tournaments as assigned.

Assist in providing Dartfish video support and analysis for the National and Regional Training Center players and coaches.

Qualifications / Other:

Bachelor�s degree required.

At least 5 years of coaching experience. USPTA and/or PTR certification.
Extensive understanding and working experience with USTA volunteers and staff.

Computer literacy required. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.

High level of organizational, writing and communication skills.

This person should have some coaching, database management and web-based learning expertise and be willing to enhance those skills.

This person must also be willing to learn how to use Dartfish video analysis software.

Position is considered exempt.
